Teach students how to retell a story. Retelling stories is a skill students must practice. This presentation is designed to be your minilesson on how to retell stories. The lesson contains 20 slides, as well as an exit slip that can be used to assess your students understanding of the skill retelling stories.

The presentation teaches students to summarize a story by including the important details, and leaving out the rest. It contains activities designed to help students understand sequence of events. The presentation contains the story “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” and uses it to help students practice the skills taught in the lesson.

This slides presentation is in Google Slides and PowerPoint versions. The exit slip is in both a Google Slides version as well as a PDF.
