May 15th – Five For Friday

We began this week, by releasing our butterflies into nature. Our class loved watching the lifecycle of this insect.

Our district opened up our End of the Year window on Monday. . . so that means it’s officially assessment time.

We took our first EOY REACH assessments this week in Reading and Math.

I began EOY Dibbling.  I still have 25 more days of school, so I have plenty of time to finish.  It’s just not my favorite teaching activity.

We worked with place value, and created these cute place value booklets. These books will help my students differentiate between hundreds and thousands more easily.

In our Passport presentation series we learned about Taiwan, Colombia, and Canada. It is so much fun having parents come in and present about countries they have lived in, or visited.
